Junior Buyer – Fashion

We\’re excited to offer an opportunity for a talented Junior Buyer to join this retailer in a newly created position.

You will assist in the sourcing, negotiating and purchasing of product that meet the company\’s vision and buying strategy.

Junior Buyer Key Responsibilities:

• Plan a commercial range within your own areas alongside the Buyer and Buying Director
• Maintain a clear understanding of the customer brand handwriting
• Ensure the supply base has the capability to meet requirements
• Negotiate with suppliers for best price
• Review competitor activity and regularly assess price architecture
• Meeting deadlines within the buying calendar
• Set clear performance standards
• Present the range in trading, selection, sign off and review meetings
• Actively trade the department
• Regularly visit stores and work closely with retail and Merchandise colleagues
• Oversee the critical path for the department

What You\’ll Need:

• Previous experience working on a fashion product is essential
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
