Are you a creative leader with a keen eye for trends and a flair for commercial fashion?
We are partnered with a global fashion company who are looking for a Head of Ladieswear and Childrenswear.
The Head of Ladieswear and Childrenswear will shape the overall design strategy, oversee a team of c35 designers, and play a central role in client-facing presentations and seasonal concept development.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of multi-category designers across women’s and children’s apparel.
- Set the seasonal creative vision and ensure it is consistently reflected across all product lines.
- Play an integral role in the design process to ensure collections are both trend-forward and commercially viable.
- Present design concepts and product ranges to key retail clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Collaborate closely with sales and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and profitable.
- Promote innovation and streamline processes in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Identify and pursue new design opportunities for existing and potential customers.
Ideal Candidate
- Extensive experience in a senior design leadership position (e.g., Head of Design or Design Director) within a women’s or childrenswear fashion supplier or retail brand.
- Deep knowledge of jersey and woven garment categories.
- Strong commercial acumen, with an understanding of profit margins and pricing frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop design teams.
- Sharp trend awareness and a strong design sensibility, balanced with a clear understanding of commercial demands.
- Confident presenter with excellent communication skills, capable of leading strategic client discussions.
- Proactive, detail-focused, and deeply connected to the pace and demands of the fast fashion industry.
