We are working on behalf of this amazing company to recruit a Purchasing Manager to lead the procurement team. You are a critical key member who will ensure a cost-effective and resilient supply chain and will manage supplier relationships, contract negotiation, demand forecasting and stock optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute procurement strategies that align with overall business goals
- Oversee relationships with global suppliers to ensure consistent delivery, quality and cost efficiency
- Negotiate supplier contracts and pricing structures to maximise value and secure long-term supply stability
- Manage inventory levels and plan replenishment
- Handle selected product categories, including sample development and supplier coordination
- Work closely with sales, product development and operations to ensure purchasing supports the product timelines and market demand
- Monitor market dynamics and supplier performance to identify potential risks and areas for improvement
- Ensure all sourcing complies with ethical, environment and certification standards (e.g., BSCI, WRPA, SEDEC, OEKO-TEX)
- Utilise ERP platforms for order processing, inventory control and procurement reporting
- Project future material and stock requirements by analysing sales data and seasonal patterns
- Lead, coach and develop the procurement team to promote a results-driven and improvement-focused environment
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a purchasing, procurement or supply chain management role
- Ideally worked in the apparel industry
- Proven experience managing offshore suppliers
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems
- Strong commercial awareness and cost control acumen
