We are recruiting an Area Manager on behalf of this heritage clothing retailer, covering the South West and South West Wales areas. The Area Manager will manage and support the stores in the assigned area to achieve company objectives, supporting the Store Managers and plan to maximise sales and profit performance.

Area Manager Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed sales and profit budgets in the stores
  • Take a leading role in setting business objectives and budgets
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction are achieved
  • Monitor the financial performance of stores, identifying opportunities and remedying any issues
  • Plan store strategies and layouts in line with the divisional sale strategies
  • Take measures to reduce operations costs, combatting shrinkage and controllable expenses
  • Recruit Store Management in conjunction with HR
  • Develop staff with potential for succession
