This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of high-quality instructions and develop strong client relationships, while mentoring junior surveyors and contributing to the growth of the lease advisory service line.

About you

Whether you’ve built your experience in a consultancy, fund, or corporate setting, you combine professional expertise with a collaborative and proactive attitude. You’re also comfortable mentoring others and contributing to the overall success of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver lease advisory work including rent reviews, lease renewals and re-gear.
  • Advise clients on tenant strategy, asset repositioning, and lease structuring.
  • Negotiate directly with landlords, tenants and advisors to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Prepare clear and commercially sound advice, backed by market analysis and comparable evidence.
  • Represent clients in third-party proceedings where necessary.
  • Collaborate with agency, valuation and asset management teams to provide joined-up advice.
  • Support business development through networking, pitches and cross-selling opportunities.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • MRICS qualified with relevant post-qualification experience in lease advisory or valuation.
  • Strong technical knowledge of landlord and tenant law and valuation methodology.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Comfortable presenting advice and engaging directly with clients.
  • Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building capability.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with institutional landlords or large occupiers.
  • Familiarity with rent review clauses, service charge provisions and modern lease structures.
  • Working knowledge of valuation software (e.g. Argus) and financial modelling in Excel.
  • Exposure to asset management or investment strategies.
  • Existing network of property contacts or client relationships.

What We Offer:

  • A supportive and collaborative team environment with genuine autonomy and responsibility.
  • Hybrid working model with flexibility to support work–life balance.
