We are looking for a linen porter to ensure the efficient delivery, collection and management of clean and dirty linen throughout the hotel, supporting the housekeeping team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Langdale Chase Hotel, which sits on the banks of beautiful Lake Windermere, has recently undergone a full and significant refurbishment of the hotel and reopned it\’s doors in November 2023. In that time the hotel has ahcieved 5 Star status from the AA and has been recognised in the prestigious Time Top 100 Places to Stay, ranked No. 3 and North of England Hotel of the year, as well as being part of the AA Group of the Year 2025.
You day to day:
- To ensure bedrooms, public areas and corridors and cleaned to the highest standard.
- To collect, sort and deliver linen supplies to all hotel store areas.
- Remove all dirty items using trollies to housekeeping main store and make ready for collection by the contract laundry
- Maintain linen pantries ensuring they are tidy, well organised and well stocked .At start of shift, during and at end of shift.
- Assist with linen, supplies stock counts
- To receive deliveries from contract laundry , check paperwork and store linen correctly.
- Help in the spring cleaning of rooms .
- Clean bedrooms as and when needed
Who we are looking for:
If you have a passion for cleaning and attention to detail this is the job for you.
You will be responsible for doing anything from changing beds, talking to guests, cleaning bathrooms, stocking up your provisions trolley to sorting out linen deliveries.
You will work on your own but will be part of a bigger team and will have the opportunity to have a catch up with your colleagues during your well earnt break.
It is a very varied job and the time goes by so quickly when you are on shift, that before you know it, it will be time to pack away your equipment and head on home.
Experience and requirements:
We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role, with 4* Hotel experience, however 5* Hotel experience would be preferred. You must have a genuine passion for providing excellent guest experienc and a team player with a proactive attitude.
