We are looking for an experienced Reception Team Leader to report to the Guest Service Manager and deliver a five-star guest experience. As Reception Team Leader, you will be the face of our hotel’s front office operations, delivering exceptional guest experiences while leading a team of receptionists with confidence and grace. You will ensure that every guest interaction reflects the highest standards of luxury hospitality, while fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Langdale Chase Hotel, which sits on the banks of beautiful Lake Windermere, has recently undergone a full and significant refurbishment and reopened its doors in November 2023. In that time the hotel has achieved 5 Star Status from the AA and been recognised in the prestigious Times Top 100 Places to Stay, ranked No.3, North of England Hotel of the Year and part of the AA Group of the Year.
Your day to day:
- Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and personalized attention
- Oversee check-in/check-out procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Supervise, coach, and motivate the reception team to deliver five-star service
- Assist in implementing service innovations and process improvements
- Manage staff rotas, shift coverage, and performance evaluations
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who will take pride in the delivery of exceptional hospitality and customer service, either face-to-face at the hotel or by telephone and demonstrate the ability to meet guest requirements and go that extra mile. You will have previous hands-on experience working in a high quality Four-Star or Five-Star hotel and you must have a strong work ethic and demonstrate the ability to motivate a team. You will be able to work in line with the company’s brand standards. You will have strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work well with others to represent the Company and the hotel in a loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner. We are looking for someone who can maintain calm and composed, even when under pressure. You will have confident computer skills and previous experience working with RezLynx would be advantageous. You will have the flexibility to work hours dependent on workload and seasonal requirements.
