Gatehouse / Yard Person Location: Bilston

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Overview We are currently recruiting for a Gatehouse / Yard Person to join our team in Bilston on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role requiring an individual who is comfortable working outdoors and can effectively manage the flow of vehicles entering and leaving the site.
Key Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for all drivers entering and exiting the site.
Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, visitors, and site personnel.
Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring site procedures are followed.
Direct vehicles to the appropriate loading, unloading, and parking areas.
Complete relevant gatehouse and yard administration where required.
Maintain a safe and tidy working environment within the yard and gatehouse areas.
Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures.
Support the wider operations team as required.
Requirements Previous experience in a Gatehouse, Yard Person, Security, Traffic Marshall, or similar role is essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions for approximately 50% of each shift.
Good attention to detail and ability to follow site procedures.
Health and Safety experience or awareness is desirable.
