Key Responsibilities
- Product inspection: Carry out visual and dimensional checks on finished and in-process items.
- Goods Inwards Inspection: Carry out visual and dimensional checks on purchased products to internal / external standards.
- Hardness Testing: Testing of heat-treated components.
- Measurement tools: Use verniers, micrometres, gauges and templates to verify accuracy. CMM experience advantageous.
- Defect reporting: Record non-conformances and communicate issues to supervisors.
- Shopfloor inspections: Ensuring quality of products is up to expectations as well as ensuring all equipment is being used correctly and accurately.
- Quality documentation: Complete inspection sheets, reports and traceability records.
- Process compliance: Follow all quality procedures and maintain high standards.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with production teams to resolve issues quickly.
