Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their established Engineering team at their manufacturing facility in Wednesbury.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a fast-paced, high-volume production environment where reliability, continuous improvement and engineering excellence are at the heart of the operation.
Working on a 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern (days and nights), you'll play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably through proactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Role As a Multi-Skilled Mechatronic Maintenance Engineer, you will provide both electrical and mechanical maintenance support across the manufacturing plant, ensuring maximum equipment availability and minimum downtime.
Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all manufacturing equipment.
Responding quickly and effectively to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
Diagnosing faults using structured problem-solving techniques.
Maintaining automated manufacturing machinery to maximise production efficiency.
Working with PLC-controlled machinery and automated production equipment.
Supporting installation projects, machinery upgrades and continuous improvement activities.
Completing maintenance documentation and recording work accurately using the company's maintenance management system.
Ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
Assisting with root cause analysis to reduce recurring equipment failures.
Supporting fellow engineers and production teams to improve plant reliability.
Participating in shutdowns, planned maintenance and engineering improvement projects.
