Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Press Tool Setter to join their manufacturing team in Dudley.
The Role
As a Press Tool Setter, you will be responsible for setting and operating power presses and progression tooling to support high-quality production output within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and operating mechanical power presses safely and efficiently
- Working with progression tooling and carrying out tool changes
- Supporting production teams to achieve quality and output targets
- Performing first-off inspections and ensuring components meet specification
- Troubleshooting tooling and press issues to minimise downtime
- Carrying out routine maintenance and housekeeping activities
- Working closely with engineering and production teams on continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Press Tool Setter within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with progression tooling
- Ideally experienced working with Minster presses
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem solving
