Are you an experienced Commercial Heating Service Engineer looking to join a well-established and specialist Mechanical Service and Maintenance business? We are currently recruiting for a skilled Commercial Heating Service Engineer to join an experienced team, providing service, maintenance and fault-finding support to commercial customers across the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially qualified engineer who enjoys working independently, takes pride in delivering a high standard of service and is looking for a permanent position offering a competitive salary, company vehicle and excellent overtime opportunities. The Role As a Commercial Heating Service Engineer, you will attend customer sites throughout the Midlands, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial heating systems. Your responsibilities will include Servicing and maintaining commercial heating systems Carrying out annual servicing and gas safety inspections Diagnosing faults, leaks and system problems Fault finding and repair of commercial gas appliances and associated systems Working on boilers, water heaters, pumps and associated equipment Identifying hazards, defects and equipment requiring repair, adjustment or replacement Completing planned maintenance in accordance with customer contracts and agreed service requirements Ensuring all work is completed within agreed timescales Working in accordance with relevant legislation, codes of practice and Health & Safety procedures Maintaining accurate service records and associated documentation Reporting any significant faults, failures or customer issues to your Line Manager Supporting the wider engineering team and contributing towards departmental targets What We're Looking For To be considered for this position, you will ideally have previous experience working within commercial heating service and maintenance. You will require: Commercial Gas qualifications essential Previous experience servicing and repairing commercial heating systems Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills Experience with controls and electrics would be advantageous A full UK driving licence, with a maximum of 6 points The ability to work independently and use your own initiative A proactive and professional approach to customers Strong attention to detail Reliability and a strong work ethic Flexibility to participate in the company's call-out rota Salary & Benefits In return, the successful Commercial Heating Service Engineer will receive: upto Β£47,000 basic salary , depending on experience Overtime paid at premium rates, including time and a half and double time Company vehicle , with private use permitted Additional payment for participating in the on-call rota Call-out attendances paid at premium overtime rates Monthly attendance bonus Enhanced holiday entitlement after three years' service Permanent employment with a long-established specialist business This role would suit an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer, Commercial Heating Engineer, Commercial Boiler Engineer, Heating Service Engineer or Commercial Gas Service Engineer looking for their next permanent opportunity within the West Midlands.
