Pay Rate: £31.43 per hour (£220 per day)

Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Mon - Thu), 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Fri)

Food Allowance: £20 per day (Mon - Thu)

Mileage: 45p per mile

Accommodation: Provided at client discretion

About the Role:

We are looking for a Working Foreman with a Joiner background to join our growing team working on the fit-out of bespoke prison cell products, including shower pods and other specialised items. This is a great opportunity for those with the right skills looking for consistent work within a stable project pipeline. The role is self-employed on a CIS basis, with a competitive pay structure and the possibility of future work. As part of the team, you'll oversee and carry out the fitting of bespoke items in the prison cells, ensuring high standards and timely delivery. This role requires a good level of communication and the ability to collaborate with the site manager and other team members effectively. You'll also need to pick up materials from merchants and occasionally visit other sites as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and fit bespoke products (e.g., shower pods) and other items in prison cells.
  • Regularly update the site manager on work progress - communication is key.
  • Collect materials from local merchants.
  • Occasionally visit other sites as needed (travel expenses provided).
  • Work efficiently while adhering to health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • SMSTS or SSSTS qualification (essential).
  • CSCS Card (essential).
  • Own van and tools (essential).
  • First Aid qualification (advantageous).
  • Ability to work away from home as required.
  • Applicants must be committed to long-term work and willing to undergo Counter Terrorism Clearance (this clearance is rare and costly, so only those with long-term work interest will be considered).
