Our client, a leading main contractor, is seeking an experienced and highly capable Pre-Construction Manager to join their team. This is a senior role responsible for leading pre-construction planning and feasibility activities across major, high-value construction projects.

Working within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping project delivery, ensuring programmes, budgets, and procurement strategies are robust, realistic, and aligned with client expectations across complex schemes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead pre-construction planning, feasibility studies, and programme development for major projects
  • Work closely with project teams, including design, commercial, and site teams, to align pre-construction activities with project objectives
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, and risk registers during the pre-construction phase
  • Produce and maintain accurate reports, including feasibility analyses, progress updates, and programme reviews
  • Attend client and stakeholder meetings, providing professional insights and recommendations
  • Review and challenge design and contractor proposals to ensure feasibility and compliance
  • Contribute to procurement strategies, tender evaluations, and value engineering initiatives
  • Ensure all pre-construction activities align with project requirements and contractual obligations
  • Support bid and tender stages with programme, cost, and planning input

  • Proven background working with a Tier One contractor is essential
  • Strong experience working on large-scale, complex construction projects
