Shift Pattern: 7:00am - 7:00pm | 4 Days On / 4 Days Off

Daniel Owen work agency are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to work at the University Hospital of Lewisham. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with interviews and onboarding taking place immediately.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operation, maintenance, and fault-finding of mechanical building services systems
  • Working within boiler rooms and plant rooms
  • Ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with hospital standards
  • Responding to reactive maintenance and supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Understanding how integrated systems work within a critical healthcare environment
Essential Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer (building services or similar)
  • Strong working knowledge of boiler systems, plant rooms, and mechanical systems
  • Good understanding of how building systems interact and operate as a whole
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
  • Comfortable working long shifts in a live hospital environment
