Daniel Owen work agency are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to work at the University Hospital of Lewisham. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with interviews and onboarding taking place immediately.
Key Responsibilities:- Operation, maintenance, and fault-finding of mechanical building services systems
- Working within boiler rooms and plant rooms
- Ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with hospital standards
- Responding to reactive maintenance and supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Understanding how integrated systems work within a critical healthcare environment
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer (building services or similar)
- Strong working knowledge of boiler systems, plant rooms, and mechanical systems
- Good understanding of how building systems interact and operate as a whole
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
- Comfortable working long shifts in a live hospital environment
- Stable 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (7am-7pm)
- Opportunity to move from temporary to permanent employment
