Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team, supporting the delivery of responsive repairs and voids maintenance projects across a portfolio of social housing properties in West London. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the cost management and commercial delivery of repairs and voids works across social housing stock.
  • Support with the preparation of budgets, cost plans, and valuations.
  • Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure works are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project costs and progress, reporting on any variances or issues.
  • Help prepare and manage interim and final accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, company procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records, including schedules of works, cost reports, and payment certifications.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, ideally within social housing or similar repairs/maintenance projects.
  • Familiarity with SOR (Schedule of Rates) and housing maintenance contracts.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisation abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or construction-related field (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent).
