About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Domestic Gas Engineer to join our property services team in Epping Forest. This is a permanent role offering stability, development, and an excellent benefits package.
You will be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs, and installations of domestic gas appliances and heating systems within social housing properties. The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent fault-finding skills, and the ability to work safely and professionally in occupied homes.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out servicing, maintenance, and breakdown repairs on domestic boilers and gas appliances
* Install new boilers and heating systems in line with manufacturer instructions and Gas Safe regulations
* Diagnose and repair faults on a range of heating systems and components
* Complete landlord gas safety records and all compliance documentation accurately using handheld devices
* Ensure work is delivered to a high standard and within agreed timescales
* Work safely at all times in accordance with Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations and company procedures
* Maintain van stock and order materials as required
* Liaise with tenants and colleagues to provide excellent customer service
* Participate in an out-of-hours rota when required
Qualifications and Experience
* ACS qualifications – CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1 (essential)
* Gas Safe registered (or working under a company registration)
* NVQ/City & Guilds in Plumbing & Heating (preferred)
* Previous experience in domestic gas servicing, maintenance, and repairs
* Experience working within social housing (preferred)
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* CSCS card (preferred)
* Asbestos awareness training (desirable)
* DBS check required or willingness to complete
