About the Role
Daniel Owen are seeking an experienced and reliable Plumber with gas certification to join one of our client's maintenance teams. The role focuses on carrying out plumbing repairs and improvements to void social housing properties, ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and ready for new residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of plumbing repairs, replacements, and maintenance works within void properties (approx. 80% of the role)
- Undertake domestic gas-related checks and tasks, including supporting safety checks and compliance (approx. 20% of the role)
- Diagnose issues and deliver effective, timely solutions
- Work autonomously while maintaining high quality and safety standards
- Ensure all works adhere to relevant health & safety and legal requirements
- Complete necessary paperwork and digital job records using handheld devices
- Liaise professionally with supervisors, contractors, and property management teams
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing or equivalent trade qualification
- Domestic Gas Certification (e.g. CCN1 + relevant appliances)
- Experience in maintenance and repair within residential or social housing sectors (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Good understanding of compliance and safety standards
