Train Cleaner

Daniel Owen are currently looking to recruit External Train Cleaners to work at a well-established train maintenance depot based in Gateshead, Newcastle (NE11). This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for part-time evening work with highly competitive pay. You will be responsible for cleaning the external surfaces of trains at the depot, ensuring they are presentable and meet cleanliness standards before entering service. This is a physically active role, working outdoors in all weather conditions as part of a close-knit team. Key Responsibilities: Carrying out thorough external cleaning of train carriages Using pressure washers and cleaning equipment (PPE and training provided) Ensuring all surfaces are free from dirt, grime, and graffiti Working to strict safety standards within the rail depot Communicating with supervisors and depot staff to maintain work flow Reporting any faults or maintenance issues identified during cleaning Candidate Requirements: Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work to a high standard Must be able to travel to and from the depot for 7pm start time Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Previous cleaning or manual labour experience preferred but not essential Must be available to attend an induction at short notice If you are on the lookout for a new, immediate position, and feel you have the relevant experience – Please feel free to contact the London Rail team on (phone number removed), or apply to this role with your most up-to-date CV
