We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Refuse Loader to join a dedicated collections team operating out of the Southall Lane Depot. This is a hands-on role where you'll work as part of a crew responsible for the curbside collection of waste and recycling across the London Borough of Hounslow. This is a physically demanding role that involves manual handling and heavy lifting, as you'll be collecting various waste types such as dry recycling, general refuse, food and garden waste, and bulky items from residential and commercial properties.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out scheduled collection rounds, ensuring all work is completed on time and accurately reporting any missed collections using the in-cab system.
- Safely and efficiently loading bins and materials into the collection vehicle, while clearing any spillages caused during operations.
- Returning emptied containers neatly to the front of each property.
- Assisting the driver when navigating or reversing the vehicle, ensuring safety for yourself, your team, and the public.
