Daniel Owen is seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in Passive Fire Protection to oversee and manage fire safety projects within the construction sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and respected company that specialises in delivering high-quality health, safety, and environmental solutions across various refurbishment & new build projects including Commercial, Education, Listed Buildings and Healthcare.
Location: Derby
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + van & fuel card + Package

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of passive fire protection projects, maintaining compliance with UK fire safety regulations, and upholding the highest standards of health and safety on-site.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of passive fire protection projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with current fire safety regulations.
- Team Leadership: Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, providing clear direction and ensuring productivity.
- Quality Control: Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality assurance checks to verify that all fire stopping, compartmentation, and fire door installations meet the required standards.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, reporting on project progress and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Health & Safety Management: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and enforcing safe working practices.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including progress reports, safety documentation, and compliance checklists.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- FIRAS or equivalent third-party accreditation (preferred).
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Passive Fire Protection (desirable).
- Experience: Proven experience as a Site Manager within the passive fire protection sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fire stopping, fire compartmentation, and fire door installation.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Up-to-date understanding of fire safety legislation, building regulations, and industry standards.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Driving License: Full UK driving license required.
