The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Joiner to join our team working on student accommodation across Preston. This role involves carrying out a wide range of maintenance works, ensuring rooms and communal areas remain safe, functional, and well-presented for residents. This is a temporary-to-permanent position, offering long-term stability for the right candidate and the chance to join a friendly, reliable, and well-organised maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Joinery repairs including doors, frames, skirting, locks, and general carpentry.
  • Planned & reactive maintenance across student accommodation buildings.
  • Minor multi-trade tasks such as patch plastering, basic plumbing fixes, and small painting repairs.
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Working closely with site management and accommodation teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Maintaining a professional and respectful approach in a student-facing environment.

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Joiner or Joiner with maintenance experience.
  • CSCS Card & NVQ Level 2 or above.
  • Strong joinery skills with the ability to carry out additional minor trades.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Own tools and full UK driving licence (if required for travel between sites).
  • A positive attitude and commitment to delivering quality work.
