We are looking for a qualified Electrician to join the Facilities Management team on a large commercial site in Manchester. The role involves delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance to ensure all building systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works.
- Fault-find, repair, and maintain lighting, power, emergency lighting, and distribution systems.
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems as required.
- Complete testing, inspection, and associated certification in line with BS 7671.
- Ensure all works comply with health & safety legislation and site procedures.
- Accurately complete job reports, compliance records, and maintenance documentation.
- Liaise with FM teams, supervisors, and other trades to minimise disruption.
- Support out-of-hours works and emergency call-outs when required.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial or FM Electrician.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
- Experience working in large commercial environments.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition (BS 7671).
- AM2 Testing & Inspection (2391 or equivalent) desirable.
- ECS / JIB Gold Card preferred.
- FM or building maintenance experience.
- IPAF, PASMA, or similar site certifications.
