Overview: The post will provide essential administrative support to the Building & Technical Services Division. The postholder will work at an operational level, ensuring that operational objectives are developed and met. They will be an integral part of the Business Support Team, focusing on the efficient provision of human resources and payroll-focused administration support.
Key Responsibilities:
- The postholder will work to agreed performance targets and service standards, responsible for identifying trends in their own performance and recommending actions to increase the efficiency and productivity of the team.
- Work with set procedures but may need to operate outside these, in agreement with senior colleagues and managers.
- Responsible for collation of reliable, accurate, and timely management information for senior colleagues and managers.
- Work collaboratively with all facets of the division and the wider HLS to ensure services are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and customer-focused.
- Organise their own workload in line with requirements set by legislation and senior management, including the need for flexible and responsive working.
- Meet a variety of deadlines and competing demands as required by the division, with occasional meetings outside normal hours.
- Provide support to Building and Technical Services, focusing on achieving the Division's aims and objectives, statutory obligations, performance targets, customer satisfaction, and value for money.
- Actively contribute to the achievement of the wider Housing Landlord aims, operational objectives, and future state.
- Follow defined administrative procedures to provide essential support to different business areas within the team to meet contractual obligations.
- Tasks may include managing the booking of electrical tests and inspections, general administration support for the Voids and Projects team, maintenance of training records, professional body and statutory corporate registrations, and ensuring staff are covered by effective registration for Gas Safe, IEE, CSCS, etc.
