We are currently recruiting for an experienced Planned Works Supervisor to join a well-established social housing provider based in North London. This is a temporary opportunity offering competitive hourly rates and the chance to work on a busy, long-term planned maintenance programme.
The Role
As Planned Works Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing planned maintenance and capital works across a social housing portfolio. You will ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while maintaining strong relationships with contractors and residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise planned works programmes including kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, external works, and refurbishments
- Manage and monitor contractors and site teams to ensure performance, quality, and compliance
- Carry out site inspections, progress checks, and post-completion inspections
- Ensure health & safety compliance in line with statutory and organisational requirements
- Liaise with residents, contractors, and internal teams to resolve issues and minimise disruption
- Monitor works against programmes and report on progress, risks, and variations
- Ensure works are delivered in line with social housing standards and client expectations
Requirements
- Proven experience supervising planned works within social housing or a similar environment
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance, refurbishment, and compliance standards
- Experience managing contractors and multi-trade works
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
