Assist in the development, implementation and coordination of the company's Safety Management Systems. Conduct planned and ad-hoc audits to ensure Hyde policies and procedures are consistently implemented and adhered to throughout the workplace by Property Maintenance staff and contractors, while actively promoting compliance. Collaborate with the Property Maintenance H&S Manager and H&S Team to design and deliver a range of toolbox talks, as well as practical and technical health, safety and environment training courses, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Provide support and cover for the Property Maintenance Health and Safety Manager as required.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits, inspections and surveys to evaluate compliance.
- Identify health and safety training needs for employees and develop, deliver, and facilitate Toolbox Talks and formal training as required.
- Perform risk assessments and develop safe systems of work to reduce and manage risks.
- Support trade teams in maintaining safe work practices, including manual handling, work at height and unlicensed asbestos work.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, identify causes, and aid in the development and implementation of corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
