We are currently working with a reputable social housing provider in North London who is seeking an experienced Damp & Mould Supervisor to support a growing workload on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable supervisor to join a proactive team focused on improving housing conditions and resident wellbeing.
The Role
As Damp & Mould Supervisor, you will take responsibility for managing and overseeing damp, mould, and condensation-related works across a residential housing portfolio. You will ensure cases are investigated, diagnosed, and resolved effectively in line with current legislation, regulatory guidance, and social housing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee damp and mould investigations, surveys, and remedial works across occupied properties
- Supervise contractors and in-house operatives delivering damp and mould works
- Carry out site inspections, quality checks, and post-completion sign-offs
- Ensure works comply with health & safety regulations and housing standards
- Manage case progression from initial report through to completion
- Liaise directly with residents to explain findings, works required, and timescales
- Work closely with housing, repairs, and compliance teams to ensure a coordinated approach
- Monitor contractor performance, costs, and programme delivery
- Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting on damp and mould cases
Requirements
- Proven experience in damp and mould or building pathology within social housing
- Strong understanding of damp, condensation, ventilation, and mould remediation
- Experience supervising contractors and multi-trade repair works
- Good knowledge of health & safety and housing regulations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage residents sensitively
- Ability to manage multiple cases across various locations
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
