We are currently seeking a proactive, vigilant, and safety-focused Fire Watch Marshal to support our client within the Social Housing sector. This is a 2-week temporary cover position working night shifts Monday through Sunday, ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in fire safety and site monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to identify signs of fire, smoke, or potential hazards.
  • Ensure all escape routes, including corridors, stairwells, and emergency exits, remain clear and accessible at all times.
  • Verify that fire doors are closed correctly and not obstructed or wedged open.
  • Monitor fire alarm systems, particularly where systems are impaired or undergoing maintenance.
  • Identify, record, and report fire risks such as faulty electrics, blocked exits, or combustible materials.
  • Maintain a visible presence on site to promote safety and compliance throughout the shift.

Requirements

  • Valid Fire Marshal Certificate/Ticket.
  • Valid First Aid Certification.
  • Asbestos Awareness Certification.
  • Previous experience in security, construction inspection, fire watch, or fire safety roles.
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to act quickly in emergency situations.

Shift Details

  • Hours: 18:00 - 06:00.
  • Schedule: Monday to Sunday.
  • Duration: 2 Weeks Cover.
