Role Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Joiner to join our clients specialist team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on listed and historic buildings, with the ability to carry out traditional joinery to a high standard. Supervisory experience is essential, as you will occasionally be responsible for overseeing small teams and liaising with clients and contractors on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out high-quality joinery work on listed and heritage buildings

  • Use traditional joinery techniques and tools appropriate for conservation work

  • Supervise small teams of tradespeople and apprentices when required

  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required conservation standards

  • Communicate effectively with clients, site managers, and contractors

  • Maintain accurate records of work, including materials and time

  • Travel to various sites across the Yorkshire region

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Joiner, with experience on listed buildings

  • Strong knowledge of traditional and conservation joinery methods

  • Previous supervisory experience on construction or restoration projects

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for quality craftsmanship

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
