An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead safety strategy and compliance across a large-scale, multi-disciplinary Facilities Management operation based on a prestigious campus in Sussex.
In this key leadership role, you will act as the primary advisor on all operational health and safety matters, working closely with senior management, contractors, and internal teams to drive a proactive, positive H&S culture across both hard and soft FM services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all health and safety activity across the site, supporting strategic decision-making and operational compliance.
- Oversee the implementation of safety systems, audits, and investigations, ensuring alignment with statutory and client-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to embed a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Develop H&S scorecards, lead investigations, and advise on risk and compliance.
About You:
- NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma (or working towards), IOSH Chartered or actively progressing.
- Strong experience in Total Facilities Management (TFM) - ideally in a complex or higher education environment.
- Confident in incident management, risk assessment, and liaising with enforcement bodies.
- Influential communicator, passionate about fostering a safe, inclusive, and high-performance workplace.
- A full UK driving licence is required.
