Plumber required for a leading Facilities Management company to carry out planned, reactive and preventative maintenance on a large commercial building in Lerwick, Shetland. Our client is looking for an experienced and hardworking Plumber to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term role with excellent benefits, stability and opportunities for progression.
This role will be working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (38.75 hours per week), with participation in an on-call rota.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Planned and reactive plumbing maintenance
- Fault finding and repairs on plumbing systems
- Maintenance of hot and cold-water systems
- General pipework repairs and installations
- Supporting compliance and health & safety procedures
- Using PDA/tablet systems to manage and complete works
- Assisting wider FM teams when required
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
Requirements for the role:
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
- Previous experience within Facilities Management or commercial maintenance
- Experience working on commercial plumbing systems
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
