We have an opportunity for a Driver/Labourer to provide a high-quality, customer-focused service, supporting a range of minor works and responsive repairs within the reactive maintenance department. This role will cover various properties across Hounslow.
Responsibilities:
- Providing labour and driving support to the Repairs and Minor Works teams, carrying out duties as directed by the Planning Team, Supervisors, or Senior Management.
- Undertaking repair works, where training and competencies allow, ensuring a high standard of workmanship at all times.
- Carrying out all duties safely and in full compliance with health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and Council policies.
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with planners, supervisors, and trade operatives.
- Promoting a strong customer-first approach, ensuring residents are treated with respect and consideration at all times.
- Working collaboratively with residents and partner organisations, including the voluntary sector, to support service improvements and innovative approaches to problem-solving.
- Inspecting ladders, tools, and equipment prior to use and promptly reporting any defects to a qualified operative, Supervisor, or Manager.
- Ensuring all personal protective equipment (PPE) is appropriate, in good condition, and reporting any issues immediately.
- Maintaining clean, safe, and tidy work sites upon completion of works.
- Completing before and after photographic records of repairs and accurately uploading information using a handheld device or PDA.
