Overview
We are seeking a Disrepair Inspector to join a busy maintenance team within a leading housing organisation. This is a key role focused on ensuring high standards of repair and maintenance across a varied housing portfolio, with a strong emphasis on quality, compliance, and resident satisfaction.
Duties
- Carry out pre- and post-inspections on repair works
- Ensure all works meet required quality and compliance standards
- Monitor and manage contractor performance
- Identify defects and ensure timely remedial action
- Prepare schedules of work and inspection reports
- Liaise with residents, contractors, and internal teams
- Support health & safety and regulatory compliance
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, including CDM
- Good understanding of building construction, materials, and trades
- Experience in property inspections or surveying
- Experience working with contractors and/or DLOs
- Ability to produce clear reports and schedules of work
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (and similar systems such as DRS)
