Pay Rate: £18.00 – £20.00 per hour
We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Damp and Mould Operative to join a responsive repairs team within a not-for-profit housing provider, supporting the prevention, treatment, and remediation of damp, mould, and condensation issues in affordable homes across Bedfordshire.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out damp and mould treatments in occupied residential properties as part of both planned and reactive maintenance programmes.
- Identifying and diagnosing the root causes of damp, condensation, and mould, recommending and implementing effective remedial solutions.
- Applying specialist treatments, including anti-fungal washes, mould-resistant paints, and protective coatings.
- Performing minor repair works such as plastering, painting, and decorating to restore treated areas to a high standard.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, in line with health and safety regulations and internal quality standards.
- Keeping accurate records of completed work, updating job sheets, and reporting any issues or progress to supervisors promptly.
