Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Building Surveyor to support a busy housing team in North West London, with a strong focus on repairs, damp and mould cases, and disrepair. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on surveyor who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out building surveys and inspections across residential properties
Diagnose and specify remedial works relating to damp, mould, condensation and general disrepair
Prepare clear schedules of works and technical reports
Manage and monitor contractors on site to ensure works are delivered to standard, on time and within budget
Respond to damp & mould complaints, including complex and high-risk cases
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, housing standards and HHSRS
Liaise with tenants, contractors and internal stakeholders professionally and empathetically
Support reactive repairs and planned maintenance where required
Essential Requirements
Proven experience working as a Building Surveyor within social housing, local authority or residential settings
Strong technical knowledge of damp, mould and building pathology
Experience specifying and overseeing remedial repair works
Ability to manage a high caseload and prioritise effectively
Excellent communication xiskglj and report-writing skills
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Relevant qualification in Building Surveying or similar (desirable)
