A new Assistant Quantity Surveyor opportunity with a leading professional quantity surveying practice in Birmingham. This firm offers a wide range of projects across leisure and hospitality, residential and commercial sectors, including large refurbishment works and multi-million pound new build construction. The role will initially focus on a programme of retail and leisure fitouts, and the firm supports continuous training and development to achieve MRICS qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Support project teams on retail and leisure fitouts, including cost estimation and procurement management.
  • Assist with cost control, measurement, and quantity surveying duties across the project life cycle.
  • Contribute to the preparation of cost plans, bills of quantities, and cost reports.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years industry experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar (2.1 or higher ideally).
  • Enthusiasm, commitment to learn, ambition and drive to succeed, supported by training to grow into a cost consultant.
  • MRICS support and training available.
