We\’re working on behalf of a local authority in Kensington and Chelsea, West London, who are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter and Decorator to join their housing estate maintenance team.
This is a static role based on a single housing estate – all properties are within walking distance, so no van or fuel card is required.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out internal and external painting and decorating across council properties.
- Preparing surfaces including stripping, filling, sanding, and priming.
- Applying a range of finishes including emulsion, gloss, undercoat, and wallpapering where required.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, in line with health and safety regulations.
- Working collaboratively with tenants and housing staff, providing a courteous and professional service.
- Using a PDA system to receive and update job information, materials used, and works completed.
