Innovation Platform Engineer – Cloud, DevOps & AI
Salary: Up to £90,000 + Bonus & Benefits
Location: Trafford Park, Manchester
Hybrid: 3 days per week on-site, 2 remote days per week.

We're partnering with a prestigious global professional services organisation that is investing heavily in cloud engineering, automation and emerging AI technologies.
This is an opportunity to join a dedicated Global Innovation function, operating outside the traditional IT structure, with a remit to design, build and deliver innovative technology solutions used across the business globally.
We're looking for an experienced Cloud / DevOps / Platform Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building scalable infrastructure and exploring how emerging technologies can deliver real business value.
The Opportunity
You'll play a key role in developing the cloud infrastructure and engineering foundations that support a growing portfolio of innovation projects, including AI-powered applications and intelligent automation.
Working alongside engineers, architects and innovation specialists, you'll help turn new ideas and technical prototypes into secure, scalable, production-ready solutions.
This is a hands-on engineering opportunity offering genuine technical ownership, exposure to emerging technologies and the chance to influence how cloud platforms are designed and delivered.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Support the development and deployment of innovative applications, including AI, LLM and agentic AI solutions.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and engineering workflows.
- Work closely with innovation teams to move prototypes and proof-of-concepts into production.
- Implement cloud security, reliability, monitoring and DevSecOps best practices.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, engineering standards and platform improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability and automation across cloud environments.
What We're Looking For
Essential experience:
- Strong commercial experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps or Platform Engineering.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure and/or GCP (experience across both would be advantageous). xgikmsk
