Were partnering with a scaling SaaS enterprise undergoing a significant technology transformation and are looking to appoint a Lead Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping a core, revenue-critical platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who enjoys setting engineering direction, raising standards, and leading by example while still remaining close to the code.
The Opportunity
Youll join a highly capable product-led engineering function working on enterprise-grade, cloud-native systems used at scale. The platform is actively evolving, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability. As Lead Engineer, youll act as the technical authority within the team influencing architecture, guiding delivery, and mentoring engineers while collaborating closely with Product, Architecture, and senior stakeholders.
What Youll Be Doing
- Leading the design and development of high-quality .NET solutions
- Owning technical decision-making across services, integrations, and APIs
- Driving engineering best practice: clean code, testability, CI/CD, and cloud standards
- Mentoring and developing engineers across mid and senior levels
- Working closely with Product to translate business requirements into scalable solutions
- Playing a key role in modernisation, platform evolution, and technical strategy

- Strong commercial experience with C# / .NET in SaaS or enterprise environments
- Proven experience operating at Lead or Senior-Lead level
- Solid understanding of cloud-based architectures (Azure preferred)
