As a Senior Technical Product Owner, you'll become the driving force behind one of the organisation's engineering teams, taking ownership of the product backlog and ensuring every sprint delivers measurable business value. You'll translate strategic product vision into clear, deliverable outcomes, balancing customer needs, commercial priorities and technical excellence.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Own and continuously optimise the product backlog for a high-performing Agile engineering team.
- Translate strategic product objectives into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria and technical requirements.
- Prioritise work based on customer value, business objectives, technical dependencies and delivery capacity.
- Partner closely with Software Engineers, Architects, UX, Delivery Managers and senior stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning and collaborative product workshops.
- Balance delivery of new features alongside technical debt, platform improvements, BAU and non-functional requirements.
- Ensure engineering teams have clear priorities and a continual pipeline of delivery-ready work.
- Manage dependencies, risks and competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
- Use customer feedback, data and insight to drive informed product decisions.
- Champion Agile best practice and contribute towards continuous improvement across Product and Engineering.
What You'll Bring:
- Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner, Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst within complex software environments.
- Experience working closely with Software Engineering teams delivering enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery, Scrum and modern software development practices.
- Experience managing and prioritising complex product backlogs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ability to translate business objectives into clear technical requirements.
- Experience writing high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
- A collaborative approach with the confidence to influence at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
