Join a growing international technology and e-commerce business taking its automotive aftermarket proposition across multiple European markets. We are looking for a European Category Manager to take commercial ownership of an automotive aftersales product category. You will shape the range, identify new opportunities, support go-to-market activity and use sales and market data to drive category performance across different European regions and online channels.

The role:

  • Own the category: Develop the European category strategy, manage the product lifecycle and make informed decisions around product selection, range optimisation, launches and market expansion.
  • Know the automotive aftermarket: Act as the product SME across automotive parts/aftersales products, owning accurate specifications, fitment and product data across the range.
  • Drive commercial performance: Analyse sales, margin and market trends, working closely with Pricing, Sales and Marketing on promotions, merchandising and go-to-market strategy.

What we're looking for:

This role needs someone with genuine automotive aftermarket/product knowledge. You'll understand automotive parts, product ranges and ideally how those products are categorised, positioned and sold through e-commerce or marketplace channels. You'll be commercially minded and comfortable using data to make decisions around product assortment, pricing, sales performance and new market opportunities. The business is also introducing AI-assisted product listing/content tools, so you'll use your automotive product expertise to guide and validate AI-generated product information rather than needing to be an AI specialist.

Salary: £50,000 + bonus

Contract: 12-month FTC

Reports to: Head of Category Management

Direct reports: None

Key measures: Sales growth, gross margin, promotional effectiveness, successful product launches and product-range optimisation.

Potential beyond the FTC: There may be scope for longer-term opportunities as the function evolves, but this shouldn't be positioned as guaranteed.
