The role involves managing medium to large scale primary research projects, both quantitative and qualitative. This includes working with clients, internally and externally, to build relationships and deliver projects that drive actionable insights for our clients’ communications and business strategies. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects under the direction of a Vice President, focusing on larger issues impacting the environment our clients work in, such as understanding the impact of government legislation, tracking opinions and trends, or segmenting the digital population. You will be part of an engaging, fast-paced environment, working with a dynamic and international team.
Key Responsibilities- Managing medium to large scale primary projects from start to finish
- Survey design, sampling, fieldwork management, analysis and reporting
- Discussion guide design, interviewing and moderation
- Writing presentations, using visual storytelling
- Development of recommendations and key insights
- Providing strategic and consultative guidance to the Edelman teams and our end clients
- Presenting to clients
- Client relationship management
- Supplier relationship management
- Project planning and internal resource management
- Proposal writing, including methodological design and costing
- Working on a number of different projects at the same time
- Prioritising work to effectively deliver tasks against deadlines
- Training junior members of the team and sharing knowledge when relevant
- Efficiently delegating tasks and setting clear goals for more junior team members
- College or university degree in business, communications, social or political science, statistics, mathematics, economics, etc., or equivalent work experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in research (in an agency/research institute or in-house/client-side, etc.)
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and clearly communicate patterns and research findings in a clear and succinct way
- Experience creating presentations using visual storytelling
- Experience presenting to clients and managing stakeholders’ relationships, both internal and external
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage medium to large scale projects from start to finish
- High level of organisation and time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and respond to urgent requests
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An understanding of fundamental media & marketing principles
- An outgoing, ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to take responsibility for a variety of tasks
- A ‘team player’ who is willing to help colleagues whenever necessary
- Desire to learn, and a proactive attitude to doing so
- International research experience is a distinct advantage
- Experience within a brand, public relations or consumer marketing insights agency is an advantage
- Fluency in English is a must, fluency in other languages is an advantage
