- Key Accountabilities
- Client service
- Client centricity – Go the ‘extra mile’ to develop a strong relationship with your clients beyond the day-to-day, taking time to understand the way they like to work, flexing your style to suit your client’s.
Provide your clients with Edelman value adds such as Trust and ensure your clients are invited to Edelman events.
- Brilliant basics – Seek out new ideas for how to improve a project or task, and present these to your senior team and client.
Work with your teams to develop high-quality, strategic and creative materials.
Make sure documents are easy to read and consider your clients likes/dislikes when developing a document.
- Flawless execution – Confidently and efficiently manage your teams, working with both senior and junior team members, to deliver good quality work that meets and exceeds client expectations, and is delivered on time and within budget.
Show strong attention to detail and ensure all documents are in a client-ready format and error-free.
Ensure you keep your senior team members updated and understand when to engage them.
- Integrated marketing fundamentals – Understand the different communications marketing activities and when/how they should be used based on a client’s business objectives.
Understand which parts of the Edelman business support each activity and start to build a network of ‘go to’ experts within Edelman for each of these different activities.
- Insights – Keep abreast of industry developments to inform the counsel you provide to clients.
Understand Edelman IP that could be used to counsel your clients on how to pursue a project or to sign-off a new project.
Work with senior staff to determine when to work with the Planning Team or/and Edelman Intelligence to identify research-based insights for specific projects.
- Collective creativity – Encourage your teams to develop their entrepreneurial spirit and offer ideas for their projects, recognising and taking forward good ideas.
Offer your assistance above and beyond your account teams to aid the development of the business as a whole.
- Digital fluency – Understand key channels available to our clients and how to draft effective content for each channel within the ABPI code and other relevant professional codes in addition to your client’s own social media policies.
Understand when to engage specialists within the Edelman network, and show knowledge of paid and search strategies.
- Consultative skills – Be the primary client contact on your accounts and successfully play this role on multiple accounts.
Play an active role in annual and mid-year planning for your clients, developing slides that are creative and easy to follow.
Ensure you always have your clients’ objectives and strategies in mind to enable you to provide meaningful strategic guidance and sound project and business management.
- Financial management
- Business acumen – Manage your time, and that of your teams, effectively to ensure you meet all deadlines and remain within budget and forecast on all projects.
Manage a medium- to large-sized project from start to finish.
Run GFS project management and/or work with account teams to complete all monthly financial procedures.
- Accurately resource and forecast for next month and next quarter to ensure there is sufficient staff time allocated to your accounts and update forecasts to ensure these are up to date on a monthly basis.
Contribute to longer-term financial planning as needed.
Work with resourcing lead to address any short-term resourcing challenges.
- Use your knowledge and understanding of project budgets, pricing structures and rate cards to manage the finances on your accounts, including completing monthly billing on time and accurately.
Ensure your budgets are tracking and forecasting as predicted.
- Submit accurate timesheets on time and understand service levels for your clients.

- Empower your team members to succeed, identifying areas for growth and taking an active role in coaching and mentorship without micromanaging.
