Jones Knowles Ritchie (JKR) is a branding business, founded in 1990 and proudly independent ever since. We started out in the world of packaging, but now we’re worldwide; from three founders, to more than 320 of us across the UK and USA. Together, we build and deliver brands across the entire consumer experience. But even more important than what we do, is why we do it. We’re here to inspire brands and people to be their true selves. To be brave. Be tenacious. And above all, be yourself. Because we believe that’s the only way to truly be distinctive, everywhere.

We’re keen to talk to ideas led Senior Designers who share a passion for brand and packaging design. At JKR, our Senior Designers work hand in hand with the Client Services team while providing valuable support to the Design Directors. In this role, you’ll have the chance to inspire our Design teams, mentoring and sharing your expertise with junior members to help them unlock their full potential. Your creative flair will shine through as you demonstrate an Ideas First approach, crafting eye-catching designs that make brands stand out and grab attention. As part of one of our two studio teams, you’ll collaborate with colleagues in Strategy, Program & Account Management, and other creative specialties to build distinctive brands by deeply understanding their essence and core values.

Responsibilities:

  • Create holistic concepts and solutions that build on a Brand’s charisma and offer a unique point of difference across all aspects and touchpoints.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of how to connect strategy to creative work.
  • Quickly edit concepts to focus on the best ideas.
  • Collaborate with and use internal expertise and experience, as well as client’s knowledge to get to better creative solutions.
  • Display integrity, honesty, reliability, responsiveness and openness to be trusted by clients and internal teams.
  • Behave as the clients’ creative partner to build trust and ultimately long-term relationships.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, challenging and interpreting feedback where necessary to build the brand.
  • Demonstrate design knowledge, expertise and relevant provocation to clients in line with the brand.
  • Proactively look for opportunities that might build long term opportunities with a client.
  • Deliver strong pitches, client presentations and influence results.
  • Communicate at all levels with confidence and clarity, adapting communication style to audience and situation, whilst always delivering a consistent message.
  • Openly encourage collaborative ways of working and cross department communication and engagement.

At JKR, our goal is to create an equitable, diverse and inclusive workplace that reflects and creates for the societies we live in. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is a long-term business imperative and a commitment at JKR, not an initiative that sits under one department. You will demonstrate being a DE+I advocate and champion with your actions and participation.
