Responsibilities
- Metric Ownership & Data Logic: Define and own the logic for key performance metrics, ensuring clear attribution for every line item in financial statements. Manage orchestration and validation of end-to-end data pipelines.
- System & Ledger Integration: Ensure seamless data flow between internal data lakes and reporting tools such as Anaplan and Planful, mapping data from internal systems to the General Ledger.
- Audit Data Architecture: Serve as the primary bridge for auditors by structuring complex data extracts and building the source-of-truth queries that demonstrate financial integrity.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with Finance leadership to provide structured reporting that maintains consistency across Wise’s financial disclosures.
Qualifications
- Data Mastery: Strong quantitative foundation and ability to navigate massive, complex datasets; proficient in writing optimized SQL queries. Exposure to Dbt, Python, Airflow, or BI tools is a plus.
- Foundational Finance Literacy: Comfortable with basic financial concepts, understanding the 'why' behind a Balance Sheet and P&L, and how transactions affect the ledger.
- Technical Agility: Quick learner of tools, adept at mastering internal platforms and systems such as Anaplan or Planful to improve data quality.
- The 'Find a Way' Mindset: Proactive individual who identifies gaps in reporting efficiency and builds solutions without waiting for tickets.
