Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money. Min fees. Max ease. Full speed. Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money.

We’re on the lookout for a brilliant Principal Product Designer to join our Global KYC Onboarding squad in London! You’ll be part of Wise’s global mission to build an open, fair, and human financial system. Because people without borders need money without borders.

Your mission: As our Principal Product Designer for Global KYC Onboarding, you’ll set the vision for the platform that makes onboarding into Wise safe, efficient, and scalable across all regions. Think of it as building the “Lego pieces” that regional teams can use to create localized onboarding KYC journeys – turning what currently takes months into weeks, and reducing friction for millions of customers worldwide.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

  • Be a cross‑functional hero and partner up with the Group Product Manager, Engineering Lead, Analytics Lead, as well as researchers and content designers within your squad.
  • Bridge global and local needs by collaborating with design leaders across regional teams (Europe, APAC, Americas) who will use your platform components.
  • Transform a complex regulatory space by designing experiences that balance compliance requirements with smooth user experiences.
  • Build the foundation for a platform that will save Wise millions in operational costs while reducing friction for legitimate customers.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Solve problems at massive scale – your work will impact how millions of customers join Wise and how dozens of internal teams build onboarding experiences.
  • Pioneer platform design thinking in the fintech compliance space, creating reusable patterns that work across diverse regulatory environments.
  • Inspire and empower a growing team of talented designers across Personal Onboarding, Business Onboarding, and future Platform partner teams.
  • Be part of positive change – we’re fixing a broken, greedy system and putting people in control of their money.

About you: You’ve led design teams in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments and know how to balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution. You’re customer‑obsessed but understand how to balance user needs with business constraints and regulatory requirements. You have a strong portfolio showcasing both strategic thinking and detailed UX execution, ideally with some experience in regulated industries or B2B platforms. You’re excited about building for builders – creating tools and patterns that empower other teams to create great experiences.

For everyone, everywhere. We’re people building money without borders – without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive. Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
