VF Corporation offers a new opportunity within our UK HR function.

This role focuses on supporting our UK Offices and shared functions including European Credit and Customer Service, implementing HR processes and policies.

The Role

The HR Generalist supports our UK Offices and shared functions, acting as the primary HR contact to employees and leaders, advising on HR themes and executing action plans in line with legislation, procedures, and VF strategy.

  • How You Will Make a Difference
  • Support the UK Shared functions and offices in implementing initiatives in line with People Strategy by fostering an inclusive culture and empowering our leaders to make informed decisions regarding their teams.
  • You will ensure optimal support & guidance around sickness/absence reporting, performance management tools and processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Employment Relations by giving solid advice and coaching line managers through complex cases.

Act as key HR partner with management teams to highlight key patterns, areas of concern and improvement.

  • Support with redundancy processes, restructures, small-scale TUPE, variation of contracts, settlement agreements. Experience in leading these is essential.
  • Lead and deliver in-house training & people surgeries as well as coordinate external training.
  • Ad-hoc project support, such as Apprenticeships, Culture Surveys, Compensation Cycles and Total Rewards.
  • Work in partnership with HRBP and site leaders to execute data driven insights around employee wellbeing.
  • Work closely with HR Operations Team to support the company's HR Operating Model.
  • People KPI's: able to interpret & analyse data to generate ideas.
  • Present People Updates during quarterly town halls.

Skills for Success

  • Education: CIPD Level 5 Qualified is desired but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a HR advisory or generalist capacity is essential. The ability to build strong relationships and provide solid stakeholder management is a key requirement.
  • Sector experience is not essential, nor is the size of business, so long as you can demonstrate and apply strong HR knowledge/principles in your current sector.
  • Fast learner and comfortable/competent with systems (AI, MS Office: Outlook, Excel for generating reports, Word, Workday system is a strong advantage)
  • Strong communication and Employee Relations skills.

Able to deal with a high level and broad spectrum of stakeholders in compliance with UK employment law and demonstrate in-depth understanding of general business operations to act as a valuable partner.

  • Comfortable in presenting to all levels of the business via Zoom/Teams and in person.
  • Able to work independently; hands‑on; proactive and creative with plenty of autonomy.

Working: we currently operate a hybrid model, and the expectation is to come to the office 4 days per week to learn and collaborate with the team.

Flexibility on starting and finishing times can be considered subject to sufficient office coverage.
