Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world's money. Min fees. Max ease. Full speed. Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money.
At Wise, we've got a clear mission — money without borders. Built by and for people who live global lives. We're at a genuinely exciting time when building more transparent and convenient ways to pay and get paid have never been more important in achieving that mission.
The High Volume team sits within Send and focuses on the customers who matter most to Wise's growth: the 1% of our customer base who drive 45% of global cross-currency volume. These are people buying property abroad, managing significant international wealth, running global businesses, and making some of the highest-stakes financial decisions of their lives. They're also the segment we're currently failing to convert and retain at the rate they deserve. That's the problem you'll be solving.
Responsibilities- Own the design direction for the High Volume space - setting strategy, driving quality, and shaping the experience from first impression to long-term loyalty.
- Bring clarity and confidence to complex, high-stakes journeys - Customers sending £100k+ need predictability, reassurance, and control. You'll translate that into product experiences that genuinely deliver it.
- Work across a wide surface - verification and compliance flows, transfer planning tools, premium support touchpoints, bulk business payments, and emerging products like FX Forwards.
- Ground your work in customer evidence - You'll collaborate closely with research and use a rich base of qualitative and quantitative insight to make strong, defensible design decisions.
- Raise the bar for the team around you - You'll mentor, give feedback, and help shape how we work — not just what we ship.
- Partner deeply with product and engineering leads to define what we build and why, not just how it looks.
- Work on genuinely hard problems, with real stakes and real data behind every decision.
- Own your impact. You'll help shape the strategy, not just respond to it.
- Ship work that moves meaningful metrics — activation rates, conversion, retention — for customers entrusting Wise with some of the biggest financial moments of their lives.
- Be part of a positive change. We're fixing a broken, greedy system, and putting people and businesses in control of their money.
- You have a portfolio of well-crafted, high-impact work that solves real problems — ideally in spaces where trust, complexity, or high stakes are central to the design challenge.
- You think at the strategy level and execute at the detail level. You're as comfortable shaping direction in a product review as you are sweating the micro-interactions.
- You're a strong collaborator who designs in the open, brings cross-functional partners along, and earns influence through the quality of your thinking.
- You practise evidence-based design and can articulate your decisions clearly and credibly — especially when pushing back on something.
- You have strong visual and interaction design skills and a high bar for fit and finish.
We want to work with the best people, no matter their background. If you've got great experience and you're great at articulating your thinking, we'd like to hear from you. We believe diverse teams build better products, and we especially love to hear from people from under-represented demographics.
We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences. Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
