Role Description
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join the Account Communications team. We own the platform that delivers millions of customer communications every day — emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and more.

What will you be working on?
- Improving delivery reliability and visibility across all communication channels.
- Evolving our platform infrastructure for scale and cost efficiency.
- Building tooling to help teams manage customer communications.
- Adding new capabilities to existing platforms.
What do you need?
- You know how to deliver complex product solutions and build distributed systems which are used by thousands of customers every hour.
- You are proficient in backend programming languages like Java, Kotlin, Python or Go and willing to learn and work with Java services.
- You have extensive experience in designing and implementing asynchronous, reliable and scalable systems in microservices environments.
- You have a strong product mindset and genuine passion for user experience.
- Clean, efficient, and well-tested code is your standard.
- You are comfortable using AI-assisted development tools and apply engineering judgement to everything you ship.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with messaging or event-driven systems.
- Experience working with email delivery infrastructure.
- Experience in API-first development.
- Experience with IaC is a plus.
