You’ll join the Core Infrastructure studio within Spotify’s Platform mission, working in the Performance Optimization team. This team builds and evolves the foundational infrastructure that powers Spotify at scale. As part of a horizontal squad with broad reach, you’ll help shape how performance and efficiency are improved across thousands of services—enabling teams to build, ship, and operate reliably while balancing cost, performance, and developer experience.
What You'll Do
- Lead, support, and grow a team of engineers working on core infrastructure systems used across Spotify
- Set clear direction and priorities, balancing long-term platform investments with immediate product needs
- Partner closely with product, engineering, and cross-functional leaders to shape infrastructure strategy
- Drive technical excellence, reliability, and scalability across distributed systems
- Foster a healthy, inclusive, and collaborative team environment where people can do their best work
- Support engineers in their development through coaching, feedback, and career growth conversations
- Help evolve engineering practices, ways of working, and operational maturity across the studio
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and knowledge sharing

- You are comfortable working with large-scale systems, cloud infrastructure, and platform technologies

Where You'll Be
This role is based in Stockholm or London. We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
